These large rare original factory green vinyl & metal over foam core signs measure 40 x 20 x 4″ / 101 x 51 cm each. They were on prominent display trackside during the 2023 Emilio Romagna GP at Imola. Printed on the back is the distance to the curve (150m & 50m) to aid the drivers in braking.

It was made for an official authorized Italian Rolex dealer where it hung in the 1990s indoors. In the early 2000s, it was taken down and the fluorescent tubing was replaced with more efficient LED with 110/220 volt so it could be used internationally.

This very large letter sign comes from a Ferrari dealership in France where it hung from the 1990s until around 2010. It measures almost 15 feet long!  (177 x 38 x 4.5” / 450 x 97 x 11 cm).  The lit sign is in very good condition and fully operational with each letter working and internally neon illuminated. As it is Italian made, the fluorescent bulbs work with the original 220v power unit and will need a transformer/converter for N. American use.

This large original 4’ tall x 3’ wide (1.23 x 1m) vintage shield sign is internally illuminated and double sided. The rare sign hung at the VW – Porsche dealer in Portsmouth, NH in period (Doherty VW – later turned into Seacoast VW).  Our reference photo shows it hanging around 1962 with a 356B coupe in the lot. The sign was manufactured in period by ‘NPI’ (Neon Products of Lima, Ohio) and still bears the maker’s mark on it to the bottom. It is in overall very good condition for its age and is fully functioning.  It measures 48.5 × 40.5 × 10 ” / 123 x 103 x 25 cm.

This huge original 5.2m / 17 foot long neon sign adorned the ‘Auto Engineering Inc.’ dealership in Lexington, MA USA from 1956 until some time in the 1970s. It was then removed from the outside and hung inside until they closed around 1988. This was purchased at a contents sale some years later.

Showing here is an image of it hanging outside the dealership in 1966 and another of an identical style sign above a different American Mercedes dealer in period (see the 300SL Roadster below it). The large heavy one piece sign is in very good condition with strong neon, and fully functioning.

This huge original metal and plastic sign measures eight feet wide  (96″ x 72″ x 3″ / 244 x 183 x 8 cm) and was made to factory specs for Canadian dealer Ludwig Heimrath Sr. Ludwig opened Canada’s first Porsche dealership, in 1961, and this sign hung in his showroom ‘as is’, possibly from the 1960s but most likely from the 1970s onwards.

It is in very fine condition but with two small repaired cracks at two of the corners (these are not visible from proper viewing distance). The massive sign was purchased directly from the late Mr. Heimrath’s dealership and displays the correct patina from age and use. A lightbox can easily be made should you want to have it illuminated.

This huge historic original piece of Le Mans 24 hrs history measures nearly 20 feet long  (6m x 0.8m / 19.7 ft x 32″). It was manufactured in period by Auvray Catala Sarl  and is comprised of PVC reinforced with fabric, and grommets around the perimeter. There is a clear plastic insert covering the left side ACO logo where the (changing) date would have been inserted (ie. June/Juin 10). The ‘Bienvenue’ banner is in relatively good condition but with evident signs of age and soiling from a decade or more of display and use.

The rare sign is ready to be hung in your man-cave, garage or museum, and just in time for the 100th Anniversary of the legendary race!

This huge original letter sign measures around 21 feet / 6.7m long and 18″ / 45 cm tall. Each letter is about 30″ / 76cm wide and all seven are wired together. It is in good overall condition and the plexi facing is perfect, although there is some chipping to the black surrounding paint on the zinc letter casing. This can be left ‘as is’ to show patina from age, or easily repainted.

This vintage sign hung over a Swiss dealer in period and was originally neon lit, but has been converted to modern LED for easier/safer transport and installation, as well as brighter illumination.   The third last image shows it ‘as found’ and the remaining pictures show how it looks now, after being cleaned up. This vintage original illuminated single-sided Italian dealer sign has a plexiglass face and metal casing, and measures 3 feet wide  (91.5 x 91.5 cm or 36 x 36″). It is in very good original condition and functional. The sign was made by Serenari of Bologna Italy, the main sign supplier for Lamborghini. It was originally wired for 230v Euro plugs, but converted for use in North America.
