This rare original silvered bronze medal was awarded to Philippe Etancelin for taking first place in the #9 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 LM he co-drove with Luigi Chinetti to win Le Mans.

The large vintage bronze plaque measures around 9 x 7″ / 23 x 18cm and has a wonderful patina. It sits within a custom 12 x 10″ felt lined presentation box, and the last image below shows Robert Benoist holding a similar award within its box, right after his 1937 Le Mans victory in the Bugatti (we sold this winner’s medal years ago)!

At this historic 1934 event, Chinetti and Étancelin held on to win comfortably overall, with the second-biggest margin to date a 180 km /110 mile lead. On top of this, they used chewing gum to plug a puncture that developed in the fuel tank!

This large rare original factory green metal & plastic sign measures over six feet long  (76 x 40 x 3″ / 193 x 101 x 8cm) and weighs approximately 15 lbs / 7 kgs). It was made for an official authorized Italian Rolex dealer where it hung in the 1990s indoors. In the early 2000s, it was taken down and the fluorescent tubing was replaced with more efficient LED with 110/220 volt so it could be used internationally.

This very large letter sign comes from a Ferrari dealership in France where it hung from the 1990s until around 2010. It measures almost 15 feet long!  (177 x 38 x 4.5” / 450 x 97 x 11 cm).  The lit sign is in very good condition and fully operational with each letter working and internally neon illuminated. As it is Italian made, the fluorescent bulbs work with the original 220v power unit and will need a transformer/converter for N. American use.

This huge original metal and plastic sign measures eight feet wide  (96″ x 72″ x 3″ / 244 x 183 x 8 cm) and was made to factory specs for Canadian dealer Ludwig Heimrath Sr. Ludwig opened Canada’s first Porsche dealership, in 1961, and this sign hung in his showroom ‘as is’, possibly from the 1960s but most likely from the 1970s onwards.

It is in very fine condition but with two small repaired cracks at two of the corners (these are not visible from proper viewing distance). The massive sign was purchased directly from the late Mr. Heimrath’s dealership and displays the correct patina from age and use. A lightbox can easily be made should you want to have it illuminated.

Here is a fantastic piece of Le Mans history – the original decorated number board from the winning #51 AF Corse 499P pit area!  This shroud was designed to wrap around a frame which extends out from the pit wall, so the team driver clearly sees where to stop. It bears the names of the winning drivers James Calado, Antonio Giovinazzi & Alessandro Per Guidi on one side, and the #51 and Scuderia shield on the other.

This is made from a heavy duty polymer core with a metallic external surface and measures over 7 feet long  (88 x 50 “/  223 x 127cm). The huge sign is in relatively good condition, but with minor warping from removal.

• This was an incredibly historic race as it was not only the 100th running of the 24 Hrs of le Mans, but Ferrari’s first factory win in the top category in nearly fifty years!

In 1970, famed Italian coachbuilder Bertone sculpted the futuristic-looking Lancia Stratos HF Zero Concept for display at the Turin Motor Show. It was a dramatic departure from the production model that shared the same name, but it was still stunning nonetheless. The car even made a cameo appearance in the 1988 Michael Jackson film Moonwalker.

Just a few years later, it spawned a series of limited edition watches to go along with it. Bertone produced just a handful of examples of the Stratos watch starting in 1975 for the brand Buler, each one designed by Nuccio Bertone, former CEO and son of company founder Carrozzeria Bertone.

Our example is New Old Stock and the digital is functioning. The stainless case and rubber strap are both in flawless condition as this has never been worn. The stamped back reads “Buler Watch LTD Swiss Case.” Its unique face shares a number of similarities with the concept car, and the LED screen, though not exactly modern by today’s standards, replaced the typical LCD setup found in most watches of the day and comes powered by a Hughes Aircraft n.206 module.

• This watch is in mint/new condition and functional and complete with original box and instructions. We doubt there is another example in this pristine condition anywhere!  (AL23M) (S)

This huge historic original piece of Le Mans 24 hrs history measures nearly 20 feet long  (6m x 0.8m / 19.7 ft x 32″). It was manufactured in period by Auvray Catala Sarl  and is comprised of PVC reinforced with fabric, and grommets around the perimeter. There is a clear plastic insert covering the left side ACO logo where the (changing) date would have been inserted (ie. June/Juin 10). The ‘Bienvenue’ banner is in relatively good condition but with evident signs of age and soiling from a decade or more of display and use.

The rare sign is ready to be hung in your man-cave, garage or museum, and just in time for the 100th Anniversary of the legendary race!

This large original champagne bottle measures about 19″ / 48cm tall. It was given to race winner Lewis Hamilton who signed it in silver marker. The empty bottle is unique in that it has a special label showing the Algarve International Circuit track, as well as the date of the event. Above this is another special round ‘2021 1st place’ sticker. There is champagne staining evident, but it is in otherwise great shape.

Lewis did not give many of his Mercedes GP winning bottles away, so this is quite rare!

This huge original letter sign measures around 21 feet / 6.7m long and 18″ / 45 cm tall. Each letter is about 30″ / 76cm wide and all seven are wired together. It is in good overall condition and the plexi facing is perfect, although there is some chipping to the black surrounding paint on the zinc letter casing. This can be left ‘as is’ to show patina from age, or easily repainted.

This vintage sign hung over a Swiss dealer in period and was originally neon lit, but has been converted to modern LED for easier/safer transport and installation, as well as brighter illumination.   The third last image shows it ‘as found’ and the remaining pictures show how it looks now, after being cleaned up.
