Description
1/5 1956 Jaguar D-Type silver model.
Using male patterns taken from a very original real D-Type a set of extremely accurate female silicon moulds were created in large 1/5th scale into which 7.5 kgs / 16.6 lbs of pure silver were deposited. The project was initiated in Stuttgart, Germany and the silver panels were then worked and assembled into a finished body sculpture by a silversmith in Bristol, England. After filling the joints with silver and finishing them, the parts were trimmed, detailed, polished and finally assayed and hallmarked with the Britannia Silver Standard 958, denoting that the metal is more than 95.84% pure silver.
This wonderful pure silver sculpture measures nearly 3 feet long (33″ / 84 cm) and is presented on a finely joined Black Walnut trestle.
Enquire for price, this one of a kind artwork is expensive as you can imagine. (K55U)
