Description
1934 Le Mans paddock sign.
This is an original ACO enamel sign that hung over the pits in period. It is in good condition for its age, but with the expected rust and patina from both use and time. The triangular metal enameled sign measures 27.5″ along each of the three sides. The bottom writing is partially covered with corrosion but reads – Panonceau Valable Pour – which translates to ‘Sign Valid For’ followed by the year ‘1934’ below.
This year’s race was won by the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 LM (chassis 2311249) of Luigi Chinetti and Philippe Entancelin followed by Rileys in second and third.
Expensive and rare, enquire. (K5.81U)
