1954 Italian GP at Imola event poster – the very first one.
This large original poster measures over 4 feet tall (37×51″ / 94x130cm) and features artwork by Antonio De’Giusti, who was responsible for the cover art of many of the early Ferrari Yearbooks. It shows a stylized Ferrari with what is most likely Alberto Ascari at the wheel.
The rare poster has two tiny repaired tears and a small portion of the bottom left that has been filled in, as well as period fold lines from when it was published. None of these can be seen at proper viewing distance. It has been professionally restored and linen mounted and is in very fine condition.
This is the very first Imola poster published and we have never seen another example!
This event on June 20 was the very first sportscar race at Imola’s racetrack.
