1954 Italian GP at Imola event poster.
This large original poster measures over 4 feet tall (37×51″) and features artwork by Antonio De’Giusti who was responsible for the cover art of many of the early Ferrari Yearbooks. It shows a stylized image of Alberto Ascari in the Ferrari.
The poster is in good condition, it has two repaired tears and a missing chunk to the bottom left that has been filled in. However, it has been professionally restored and linen mounted as pictured and will display wonderfully. We have never seen another example!
This event on Sept. 5 was the very first Grand Prix at Imola’s racetrack. It was won by Juan Manuel Fangio in the Mercedes W196R, who also achieved pole position.
