1982 Gilles Villeneuve Longines Ferrari personal watch.
This 33mm watch was given to Gilles Villeneuve for his 32nd (and final) birthday by Enzo Ferrari. It is in ‘as new’ condition and complete with original warranty card signed over to Gilles on Jan.18, 1982 (his actual birthday). The Longines warranty card (guaranzia) is written in Italian – Per Ferrari A Gilles Villeneuve Auguri, 1982. Gilles’ name is engraved at the back of the case and since it was commissioned by Ferrari, the Prancing Horse has been added to the front blue dial of this automatic timepiece. The watch shows very light signs of wear and still retains its Longines hangtag. Longines was the official team sponsor in 1981 & 1982, even though Gilles usually wore a TAG Heuer digital watch.
