Description
1995 McLaren F1 GTR alloy rear wing support.
This original rear wing support is fully machined. It is a spare that was taken to Le Mans but not used. Following the race it was given to Lord Foster & Partners who were the main architects for the design of the MTC (McLaren Technology Centre) to be used by the designers to incorporate its aesthetic/design into the MTC front glazing support blades. Ron Dennis wanted every part of the building to have some design cues to another McLaren product. It measures 16.5 x 6.5″ and is in fine condition.
This neat piece is accompanied by a letter from McLaren and photos of where supports shaped like this were used at MTC, as well as our lifetime certificate.
*Note- the wing supports are visible in the reference photo of 01R (with carbon fibre side covers attached)
