1997 McLaren F1 GTR center-locking wheel nuts.
These are original McLaren F1 GTR center locking wheel nuts from McLaren F1 GTR chassis 19R.
Completed ahead of the 1997 season, this is the very first of the Longtail McLaren F1 GTRs built. It was used for promotional purposes before it was raced once by the Japanese Team Lark in August of 1997. Chassis 19R did not return to the track until 1999 but it was then raced in Japan well into the 2005 season, scoring a single victory in 34 attempts. It was during its Japan racing career that these wheel nuts were used.
Refinished in its Team Lark livery, the car was sold to the USA upon its retirement from contemporary racing. Now in British hands, it has been restored to the distinct paint scheme used during the original launch. Soon after the work was completed, it was driven by Kenny Brack during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The wheel locks retain their race patina finish and measure 3.25 x 1.25″. The price is per lock. Each is of course accompanied by our lifetime certificate. (MF1)
