2006 Mika Hakkinen original McLaren test helmet.
This is an original Bell helmet used by 2x World Champion Mika Hakkinen while testing the McLaren MP4-21 Mercedes at the Circuit De Catalunya in Spain in late 2006, when he was in advanced talks about a possible return to F1 with McLaren. Amongst the various reference photos is one of Mika with his manager Didier Coton fitting the helmet (prior to adding the clear rear aerofoil).
This is truly Mika’s last F1 helmet!
