1926 – 1955 Le Mans ACO Sign
Here is one of the original medallions which hung on the paddock walls and offices at Le Mans between 1926 and 1955. This is the smaller flat version of the ‘standard’ (25.5″) round/concave sign, and the aluminum medallion measures 16″ / 40 cm in diameter and weighs about 3 lbs / 1.4kgs. It is in fine original condition with a lovely patina and a hand painted logo/script. There are countless photos of the larger versions in the official LM book ’24 Heures Du Mans 1923-1992′ (book 1 published by the ACO), including the ones showing here from 1953 & 1954 Le Mans.
