2000 Driving Ambition McLaren F1 Deluxe Edition book.
This large heavy book has about 410 pages on the development of the F1 road car (more than the standard version’s 272 pages). It is number 247 of a long sold out limited edition of 1000. As a note we have not seen any of these numbered over 500 and it’s generally believed that not all 1000 were printed, perhaps only half. It has been signed inside by Gordon Murray, Ron Dennis, Mansour Ojjeh and the late Creighton Brown. The book is absolutely mint including its special nubuck cover and case.
It measures 13.5×13.5×2.5″ and weighs 11 lbs (without the case). (x247-K6Cx)
- We also have an Owner’s Edition of this book (see the last few images). This is one of the first 100 books that were printed and distributed to owners to match their chassis numbers. These books are not only much rarer, they are also slightly different than the others in the Deluxe Edition as they had real Connolly leather covers (not nubuck), as well as a number plate on the inside cover with a designated chassis number. The copy available is in very good condition and complete with real leather clamshell case and the separate sleeve that houses the poster, blueprint and technical drawing.
