1990s McLaren F1 tool set
This is a rare original tool set from McLaren F1 GT chassis 058 – a dark burgundy / tan long tail that caught on fire in period in Japan. Facom crafted the tools from titanium, and finished the spanners in a titanium nitride coasting to achieve the gold-look finish. The only exception to Facom’s efforts were the pliers, fashioned from steel. The 16-piece complete set includes Allen keys and screwdriver heads, and is wrapped in a leather roll-pouch.
The vintage tools are in very good condition but there is slight fire damage to the special leather roll up bag – which lends both patina, and a great story!
