1950 San Remo GP winner’s trophy.
The 1950 San Remo Grand Prix was an F1 motor race held on April 16 at the Autodromo di Ospedaletti in Sanremo, Liguria, Italy. It was the third race of the very first ‘official’ F1 season, 1950. The 90 lap event was won by Juan Manuel Fangio in his Alfa Romeo 158 after starting from second position.
This rare victory trophy is large and measures about 15″ / 37 cm tall including the wooden base. It is 13″ / 32 cm wide at the handles and weighs about 6lbs / 2.6kgs.
This was Fangio’s very first win in an Alfa Romeo! He finished 2nd overall that year as well.
