This is a precise large scale replica of the 1967 Belgian GP winner driven by Dan Gurney. This was a historic victory, as at Spa the Eagle became the first American car manufacturer to win a Grand Prix since 1921!

This large 21″ / 53cm long model is made from over 750 parts and has fabulous engine and cockpit detail, and a removable nosecone. It is quite striking in its dark blue, semi-metallic paint, adorned with white racing stripe. The distinctive ‘Eagles Beak’ radiator inlet is beautifully rendered, and features a fine mesh screen inside. The nose section is removable, revealing brake and clutch reservoirs, lower wishbones, top rockers, and the anti-roll bar. The wheels and tires are spot-on, and feature tiny tire valves, wheel weights, flexible brake lines, metal brake discs and detailed calipers.

The cockpit features quilted padding throughout, and a notable lack of seat belts. The aluminum monocoque chassis is loaded with rivet detail, even extending into the cockpit footwell. Behind the rollbar you can remove the two magnetically secured body panels to reveal the V-12, 60 degree, 3 litre Gurney Weslake powerplant. Just below the delicate protective metal air screen lie the staggered twin rows of air inlet trumpets, all beautifully machined.

There are red individual ignition wire clips to keep things tidy, and the sculptural exhaust headers are a delight. Translucent fuel and coolant lines snake their way around a jungle of suspension bits. Twin Fram oil filters nestle between the spring-mounted exhaust pipes which carry simulated heat bluing. Even the tiny throttle linkage return spring is under tension!

• This is part of a small edition – 250 models were supposed to be built by RAR back in 2005 – but only around 100 were made – and the edition has been sold out for decades.  This model is in ‘new old stock’ condition in box, having only been inspected once for quality. This huge 28″ / 71 cm and 22 lb / 10kg metal model features all opening surfaces to reveal the incredibly detailed chassis, engine, cockpit and suspension.

Only 400 of these were built by American model maker Highway 61 back in 2007, and the entire edition sold out in 2008!

The rare model is constructed of metal with some plastic parts and is finished in red with white coves over a red interior. Features include front and rear bumperettes, wide whitewall tires, an antenna, a detailed V-8 engine compartment, and a hinged hood, trunk, and doors. Additional details include bright chrome trim, front and rear bumperettes, wiper arms, a driver’s-side mirror, a telescoping antenna, and “Fuel Injection” badging. A removable fuel filler cap is concealed behind a hinged cover and the chassis is fully articulated.

The interior features red seats along with color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Features include a white dash panel, a central speedometer, center-mounted gauges, a dash-mounted mirror, a faux push-button radio, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a floor shifter with a cue ball-style grip. The side windows can be raised using the hand cranks!

This incredible large scale resin and metal model measures 2 feet long (24×10″ / 61×25.5 cm) and weighs 8 lbs / 3.65 kgs. A small edition of just 75 replicas were built by RAR back in 2014, and the edition has been sold out for decades.  The driver doors and front and rear clips come off to display a wealth of detail.

Chassis 103 was the most successful 962 ever built, capable of speeds over 240mph! It was driven in period by Derek Bell, Al Holbert and Chip Robinson at various venues. This stunning large scale model was built by BELL / SportsEurope back in 2005. An edition of 250 pieces were planned, but in the end, less than 85 models were actually produced, and this one is 037/250.  The huge replica measures 3 feet long  (36 x 16 x 10.5″ / 91 x 41 x 27 cm) and weighs about 28 lbs / 13kg. As with most models of this immense scale, nothing opens, but it has a fully articulated cockpit and lots of external details with a lovely paint finish.

This replica is based on several early GTOs, including s/n 3323gt – 3387gt – 3705gt – 3607gt.
