1/14 1954 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing in crystal by Daum
This lovely large crystal model measures about 12.5″ / 32cm long and is quite heavy at 8 lbs / 3.6kgs. It was produced back in 1987 by Daum of France, and originally sold for around US$1000+ three decades ago. This particular example on offer is one of the rare ‘non-frosted’ versions produced.
Designed by Xavier Froissart, this was the sixth in a series of thirteen large automobile sculptures produced by the French company. This 300 SL Gullwing was produced in a limited series of 2542 pieces worldwide, and the un-numbered edition sold out over 30 years ago.
