This is a lovely large scale 23″ / 58cm sealed curbside resin model of the iconic Porsche that won its class and placed 2nd overall at the 1979 24hrs of Le Mans at the hands of Paul Newman, Ralf Stommelen & Dick Barbour. Due to series of circumstances that took the prototypes out of contention, Paul Newman and company went on to win their class in a story fit for a movie script!
- It has been produced in a limited run of just 50 pieces worldwide, and comes complete with display case.
- Each serialized model has a plaque hand signed by Dick Barbour.
- The base dimensions measure 30.75 x 15.75″, and the case height is 9.5″.
- Chassis 009 0030 went on to make history again by achieving $4.4 million at Gooding & Co’s auction in Monterey.
