1950s Ferrari Automobili Track Sign
This huge vintage wood and masonite sign is the Earliest and Largest original advertising Ferrari sign known. It was used at various tracks in Italy where it hung from 1953 onwards. The awesome display measures over 24 feet long! (292 x 59” / 7.4 x 1.4m).
The painted wood sign is in very good condition for its age and is made of two large panels with a frame. It was made in Parma Italy, and has been signed by the artist ‘A. Davighi’. The vintage style Ferrari Automobili Modena Italia logo on this sign is the very same one that adorned the famous Ferrari Transporter in the 1950s.
In the black and white reference image included in this listing, you can see the actual sign hanging at the 1st Gran Premio Supercortemaggiore, held in Merano, Italy on September 6, 1953, where several Ferrari 166 / 212 / 225 / 250 campaigned.
