1950s – 2000s era Mercedes Book Assortment
The following 5 vintage publications are being sold as one lot:
- 1998 ‘Original Mercedes SL’ Book – restorers guide “The Restorer’s Guide to 300SL, 190SL, and 230 / 250 / 280 SL models”. This hardcover 112 page volume is in good overall condition but with some handling wear to the jacket. It measures 9.25 x 12″/ 23.5 x 30.5 cm and is a great reference book filled with colour photos of SLs.
- 1999 ‘Mercedes-Benz In Pictures’ Book – Beaulieu Archives. This hardcover 160 page volume by Roy Bacon is in very good condition. It is filled with black and white photos and history of the company, featuring road, race and experimental cars. The book measures 12 x 9.5″ / 30.5 x 24 cm and was published by Beaulieu Archives.
- 2002 ‘Mercedes-Benz 300SL: Racing Cars 1952 – 1953′ Book – Ludvigsen Library Series. This softcover 128 page volume is in good overall condition but with handling wear and some highlighting and notation to the pages. It measures 8.5 x 10.25″/ 21.5 x 26cm and is filled with black and white photos and history of the iconic 300SL racers. Fittingly, the introduction is written by former team boss Alfred Neubauer.
- 2004 ‘Mercedes-Benz 300SLR’ Book – Ludvigsen Library Series. This softcover 128 page volume is in good overall condition and measures 8.5 x 10.25″/ 21.5 x 26cm. It is filled with black and white photos and history of the iconic 300SLR racers. The introduction is written by Karl Ludvigsen.
- 2010 Mercedes-Benz Museum Book – Legend and Collection. This softcover 256 page volume is in excellent overall condition. It is filled with black and white and color photos and history of the company, featuring road, race and experimental cars. The book measures 7.5 x 9.5″ / 19 x 24 cm and was published by Mercedes and was only available at their Classic Center Library.
These would make for an excellent reference library for the M-B owner or enthusiast! (NAK)
