1956 Prix de Paris original poster
This huge original event poster features artwork by Geo Ham of a race car driver gripping the steering wheel and leaning into the turn. Along the bottom are Valvoline sponsorship logos with two cartoon pin-up girls wearing oil funnels on their heads.
This very large poster measures over 5 feet tall (47×63″ / 119x160cm) and is in good condition but with original fold lines and a minor tear that were minimized by the professional linen backing.
This sports car race was held at Montlhery, France, and was won by Duncan Hamilton in a Jaguar D-Type followed by Luigi Piotti in a Maserati 250F.
