1969 Winning movie poster
Indianapolis is the rare original Italian release poster with Indy car artwork by Avelli. The movie starred Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Robert Wagner, Bobby Unser, Tony Hulman and Dan Gurney.
This massive Italian four panel (‘4 Fogli’) poster measures 6.5 feet tall (55×78″ / 140x198cm). It is in very good condition but with original join lines that were minimized by the professional linen mounting. To the bottom right it is written Prima Edizione Italiano 1969.
This film helped make the Rolex Daytona watch famous, as the version Paul wore in the film was dubbed the ‘Paul Newman dial’.
