Description
1987 – 1992 Ferrari Cartier Gold Watch
This rare solid 18K automatic gold watch with clear back was made to commemorate Enzo’s last project, the F40. Enzo commissioned Cartier to make 140 of these (100 + ’40’). He gave them out to elite friends like Clay Regazzoni, Rene Arnoux, Jean Todt, and Niki Lauda (seen wearing one here with Gerhard Berger). None were sold commercially. We have one very clean example available, complete with box and papers.
You cannot buy these anywhere, and they have not been around since the early 1990s!
This is the perfect period watch to wear in your 288 GTO, F40, 512 BB Boxer, Testarossa or F50. This watch is branded ‘Ferrari Formula’ by Cartier and is in very good condition, complete with box and guarantee card and Cartier guarantee. It is a 40mm chronograph with date function, and utilizes the Swiss made Valjoux 7750 automatic movement. The case is in 18kt gold, and is water resistant.
- This is expensive, but much rarer and more historically significant than a modern day Girard-Perregaux, Panerai Ferrari or Hublot co-branded watch. Email for better pix. (ALN23)
