1963 Le Mans poster – La Vache Qui Rit
This rare original poster is very large, measuring over 5 feet wide (62.5×22.5″ / 159x57cm). It is in very good condition and has been professionally linen mounted with minor restoration.
The ‘Laughing Cow Cheese Company’ of France produced this awesome vintage poster in very limited numbers in late 1963, and it was printed by Motfort Publications. The three red GTOs leading were supposed to resemble the red cow in their brand image (head and ears), and to obtain this poster you needed to collect enough ‘points’ inside the cheese packaging which you would then submit for the ‘prize’.
It features a photo of the 1963 Le Mans start, and you can see the following cars leading the field;
