1/6 1969 Porsche 917K styling model
Here is a very historically significant piece of Porsche history! This large original fiberglass / cast model was made by the Porsche Factory for both styling and wind tunnel uses in late 1968 / early 1969. The 917 K buck measures 32″ / 81cm long and weighs about 14 lbs / 6.5kgs. The car modeled is the ‘short tail’ (kurz) version of the 917. At the Porsche museum you can see the ‘long tail’ version of this styling buck, which is of course not for sale. In our reference photos you can also see the ‘full scale’ buck currently on display at Porsche.
