1950s Hans Liska Mercedes illustrated books
This vintage original set of books were published by Daimler-Benz AG in period. The German language portfolios contain many color and black and white lavishly illustrated sketches by German artist Liska celebrating the accomplishments and milestones of Mercedes in the first half of the century, as well as fashion and culture. Mentioned and/or illustrated are the 300SL Gullwing, 190SL, 300 SLR #722, W196 Streamliner, etc. The set of three publications include –
- 1951 (beige jacket)
- 1953 (light blue jacket)
- 1955 (copper jacket)
They are all in very fine condition and complete with our lifetime certificate.
