1954 Carrera Panamericana Mexico original event poster.
This rare original poster shows artwork by Aguilar of Juan Manuel Fangio in the previous year’s winning Lancia D24 speeding to the chequered flag. His car bears a number ‘5’ to denote that this is the 5th Carrera Panamericana. It is in fine condition but with some handling wear to the borders that was corrected with the linen mounting.
The artwork measures over 3 feet tall (27×37.5″ / 69x95cm). It is one of two styles of official posters published for the 5th and final running of this famous event, both of which are extremely scarce. (xx2x)
