1956 Le Mans Dunlop commemorative poster.
This vintage original poster was commissioned by Dunlop Tires to celebrate their victory with Jaguar in the 1956 24 heures du Mans (which was Dunlop’s 17th win there!). The lithograph has been printed on heavy stock paper and features vivid colors with artwork by Pierre-Charles Delarue-Nouvelliere of the Jaguar D-Type driving under the famous Dunlop Tire bridge.
The rare poster is in good condition but with a horizontal crease to the center that has been minimized by the professional linen mounting. It measures nearly 3 feet wide (16×32.5″ / 41x82cm) and is ready for display!
This race was won by Ninian Sanderson & Ron Flockhart in the Ecurie Ecosse Jaguar D-Type. Jaguar D’s also finished 4th and 6th at this venue.
