1960s – 1970s Porsche illuminated dealer sign
This huge original letter sign measures around 21 feet / 6.7m long and 18″ / 45 cm tall. Each letter is about 30″ / 76cm wide and all seven are wired together. It is in good overall condition and the plexi facing is perfect, although there is some chipping to the black surrounding paint on the zinc letter casing. This can be left ‘as is’ to show patina from age, or easily repainted.
This vintage sign hung over a Swiss dealer in period and was originally neon lit, but has been converted to modern LED for easier/safer transport and installation, as well as brighter illumination. The third last image shows it ‘as found’ and the remaining pictures show how it looks now, after being cleaned up. (k5.23u)
