Description
1997 McLaren F1 GTR front carbon crush tube.
This original piece was made to improve the crash resistance of the racing F1 GTR. It was part of the development process to assess the energy absorption of the car. In the end, this design was improved as it was not strong enough to be used. It measures 17 x 3.25 x 4 and is in fine condition.
- This is accompanied by a letter from McLaren explaining its origins and function, and is of course complete with our lifetime certificate.
