1937 XV Gran Premio D’Italia XVII ‘Coppa Ciano’ poster
This mega rare vintage original poster features gorgeous artwork by Cesare Gobbo (1899–1981) and was printed by Grafiche I. G. A. R. Roma – Milano.
The very large artwork is in excellent condition on linen, and measures over 4.5 feet tall (54 x 38.5″ / 137 x 98 cm). It has been tastefully framed (60 x 44″ / 153 x 112 cm) (crate 65 x 55 x 9″).
We have only seen one of these rare posters in over 30 years!
- This race saw the continued domination of the Mercedes factory team with Rudolf Caracciola winning in his #2 W125 grand prix car followed by Hermann Lang in second place at this historic Italian GP at Livorno. They were followed by the Auto Union and Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeos. (xK52ux)
