Description
1954 Cavallino Rampante trophy awarded by Enzo Ferrari to ‘Motor’ Magazine.
This bronze Cavallino is held on a two piece solid marble plinth and base. The plinth bears a bronze ribbon with ‘A Motor’ in raised lettering, a coloured enamel Ferrari emblem, and three bronze racing cars in relief (500 F2). It also bears a brass plaque with ‘1952-53-54’ (Championship Years) in raised lettering.
The trophy measures 5.5×5.5×17” / 13.5×13.5×43 cm and is quite heavy. It is in very good condition and what is incredible is that it is documented with a photo of Enzo presenting it at the awards ceremony on Dec.5, 1954.
