Description
1969 Bruce McLaren Pole Position trophy – Mont Tremblant Can-Am race.
This original award is a lovely piece of Canadiana – a solid wooden carving by Amede Chadro. It was produced for title sponsor Labatt’s to present to the pole sitter at the 1969 Mont Tremblant Can-Am race.
The trophy is heavy and large, measuring 30 x 25.5 x 2″ / 76 x 65 x 5cm.
Bruce finished second overall to team-mate Denis Hulme at that race but won the season in the McLaren M8B Chevrolet.
This original pole position award comes with a letter from the McLaren family, as well as our gallery certificate.
